Apps, builtto order.
Web and mobile software for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools. I build one at a time, so I'm choosy about which.

For your customers,or for your crew.
Mobile apps
iPhone and Android from one codebase. If the job needs it, the app keeps working with no signal.
Web apps and portals
Client portals, booking and quoting tools, dashboards. The things your customers log into.
Internal tools
Scheduling, approvals, field reports, timesheets. Usually something that runs on a spreadsheet today.
Backends and integrations
Accounts, roles, payments and data, plus the connections to the tools you already use.
What I'm building
I'm building three products of my own on the same stack I'd use for yours. None are available yet, but each has a page saying what it's for.

How a commissionworks.
Four steps, from application to handover.
- OP 01Apply
Start with the problem.
Tell me what the app has to do, who uses it, what the problem costs you today, and your budget and timeline. I reply within a day either way.
Blocks 1/4 - OP 02Scope
Agree on what done means.
Before any code, I write down the requirements, the data and the edge cases with you, then give you a price and a schedule. If custom software isn't the answer, I'll tell you what is.
Blocks 2/4 - OP 03Build
Builds on your phone, early.
Within the first few weeks you can install working builds on your own devices, so decisions get made on screens you can tap.
Blocks 3/4 - OP 04Handover
Yours, in full.
The code, accounts, data and documentation move to you. I can stay on for support and new features, or hand it to your team.
Blocks 4/4
Who thisis for.
Good fit
04- A problem that costs you time or money every week
- A budget set aside for custom software
- One person on your side who can make decisions
- A timeline measured in months
Not a fit
03- A website. That's quicker and cheaper, and most of what I do. See websites
- An idea that needs a cofounder more than a developer
- A fixed launch date next month
The stack
TypeScript from the server to the phone, so the whole app lives in one codebase you own.
- React Native
- Expo
- Next.js
- TypeScript
- Supabase
- Postgres
- Stripe
Have a problemworth building for?
Tell me what it is, who it's for and what budget you have. If it's a fit, the next step is scoping. If it isn't, I'll say so and point you somewhere more useful.
